Welcome to Magazijn13
Magazijn13 aims to collect and disperse knowledge with respect to issues that are best characterized as strategic governance themes. Turning a contractual relationship into a partnership. Maintaining an outcome focus in a multi-actor (‘chain’) environment. These are examples of areas where Magazijn13 can offer an added value.
Training implies ‘learing by doing’. Magazijn13 makes extensive use of computer simulation tools that confront participants with the outcomes of their strategic and operational decisions. Governments are increasingly part of a gravitational field of forces where actions provoke responses. Therefore it is vital to develop a sense for these responses in order to anticipate them with a view, ultimately, to remain in control.
Magazijn13 focuses on translating cutting edge scientific insight into innovative tools that can be applied in the process of policy making. An example is the application of the economic theory of ‘mechanism design’ in Pre-Tender (see below). For this purpose, Magazijn13 co-operates with universities and other knowledge institutes.
Pre-Tender is a computer simulation of a market for social services. It can aid in improving the role of government organizations as commissioners for these services.
